Introductions

Hello everyone, my name is Eric Roe.  I am a 4th year Sports Management major finishing my last year hear at UF.  My experience and knowledge about blogging and other social media is limited at best, so I look forward to becoming more acuainted with these tools as the semester progresses.  I am actually taking this course in order to satisfy my last few thousand words for a Gordon Rule requirement, needed before I am able to graduate.  I decided to take AMH 2410 because I have a strong passion for reading, and The Great Gatsby was the only book on the reading list I had read before.

In class we talked about definitions for the word “experience”.  What I brought away from that conversation was that experiences are both objective and subjective.  They are objective in the fact that they all happen to people and the actual circumstances that brought the event to be are the same for everybody.  ”Experiences” however, are different for everyone because of the objectivity, or the way each of us perceive the event individually.  This is why the same thing happening to two different people is able to stir completely unalike reactions from each, giving us each a unique “experience”.
