1. The condition of being free from restraints.
2. Liberty of a person from slavery, oppression, or detention.
How difficult it must be to share two cultures, loving one and living the other. Many people think that being born into “the land of the free” and the American way of life is a great privelege, and indeed it is. My project seeks to grasp living in America from a different perspective.
Alex is a 12 year old Mexican-American boy whose parents provide for the family by performing various low-wage agricultural jobs. Though he is steeped in his Mexican traditions, he is forced to spend much of his days in the “America” you or I live in, which is very different from the one he returns home to each night.
